AMY WALTCH
Amy graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1987 with a BFA in painting. She worked in her own studio painting for many years. In 1996 she went to Boston's Museum School to the post-baccalaureate program for a year to further study painting. Around the same time she moved to Lincoln and took printmaking classes and the DeCordova Museum School. She had loved printing while a student at Mass. Art, but hadn't had a chance to explore the possibilities. She was thrilled to start printing again and felt a freedom that she didn't experience while painting. She still loves to paint, but printing is now her preferred medium, in which she has been working for almost 20 years now.
